1. Will my prints last?
   
   Our paper is acid-free and will last for a very long time, especially when kept in a closed book or album. Our prints are guaranteed to last much longer than photographs.
   
   
2. Will my photos and other materials be returned to me?
   
   Your materials and books are always sent back to you with a tracking number.
   
   
3. Can I use materials that are not photos?
   
   Like Life Books will scan (for an additional charge) any memorabilia.
   
   
4. Can I review the final product before it is printed and shipped?
   
   Yes, Like Life Books will send you a PDF proof and give you the opportunity to make any changes you feel are necessary before we print. If you do not have any changes then you will be asked to approve the design before printing. If you have offered edits, an additional PDF will be created and sent to you incorporating your edits for final approval. You are allowed three PDFs and five changes (photos, text, or layout) at no charge. Any spelling, grammar or typographical errors will be fixed at client’s request with no maximum.
   
   
5. Can I use photos taken by a professional photographer?
   
   You must have permission from the photographer. Many photographers (but not all so you must ask prior to session if possible) to have a DVD of hi-res images made available or to purchase the negatives. Like Life Books strongly recommends that you receive permission from your photographer. You will receive a consent form for your photographer. If the release is not signed Like Life Books will not be liable for improper use or copyright infringement of the images you supply. As the client, you have sole responsibility for pictures that you supply.
   
   
6. How do I submit images?
   
   All images must be hi-res. If you are scanning your photos and saving them to a disk please scan them in at 300dpi. If you are submitting digital pictures a good rule of thumb is that the file size be at least 1MB. Like Life Books will also scan images for an additional fee and return the originals to you.
   
   
7. How do I submit text for a legacy book?
   
   All text (except those items being scanned to capture the authentic appearance) must be typed and submitted via email (pasted in the body of the email and attached within a Word document) with your order. Please note that you must also approve all text in addition to photos to ensure accuracy. Any memorabilia to be scanned will be returned.
   
   
8. I am concerned about sending irreplaceable materials. How can we ensure these will be safe?
   
   We suggest that you send your order in with a tracking number. The U.S post office offers this service for a small fee as do all express shipping companies. Your materials and books are always sent back to you with a tracking number.
   
   
9. What type of paper do you use?
   
   We use an acid free high quality, heavy, high gloss paper for our books (100lb text).
   
   
10. What is the turn around time for a book?
    
    Turnaround time varies during the year. Our average turn-around time is 3-5 weeks from the time we receive your order to the time it is in your hands. If you have a specific date you need the book back by please let write it on your order form and we will do our best to get it to you by that date.
    
    
11. Can I order additional copies of my book at a later date?
    
    We keep all books on file for a year should you/family or friends wish to purchase additional copies. They are always available at the additional copy price. Please also consider our package rates created for clients in need of multiple copies.
    
    
12. How many photos on average does a photo book accommodate?
    
    On average, a 20-page book will accommodate 40-60 pictures. For legacy books, the space is dependant on additional detail memorabilia as well as pictures.
    
    
13. Can I refund, exchange or return my items?
    
    No. Due to the custom nature of Like Life Books’ products, there are no exchanges or returns available. However, you will receive proofs throughout the process for approval purposes to ensure you are happy with the end product. We take our commitment to customer service very seriously.
